Meet Your Facilitator

I’m Gabby, a registered psychiatric nurse, certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor through the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), and a mental health educator with a passion for making mental health education accessible and practical. My work across crisis teams, hospital units, and street outreach has shaped my belief in timely intervention, compassionate care, and giving people the skills they need to support others every day.

I founded Salal Mental Health Training to equip individuals, workplaces, and communities with the tools to respond to mental health challenges with confidence and care. Inspired by the resilience of the salal plant and the strength of our BC coastal forests, my mission is to help communities grow healthier, more supportive, and deeply connected.

With gratitude and respect, I acknowledge that I live and work on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Peoples, and I remain committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and reconciliation in both my life and work.
